Task Force aims to create long-term financial solutions for County budget using transparent, public involvement.
Thursday, April 18, 2024, Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow announced the creation of a Budget Task Force. This group will be made up of municipal leaders, business representatives, County Board Supervisors and public members, who will discuss what the County budget may look like over the next five to ten years.

New location aims to improve outcomes for job seekers and businesses in the Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington County region.
Tuesday, April 16, 2024, The WOW Works Workforce Development Board and Community Network celebrated the grand opening of its new Waukesha American Job Center location with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house event. Local elected officials, including County Executive Paul Farrow and key partners spoke at the event, highlighting the center's commitment to empowering job seekers, serving local businesses, and strengthening the local workforce through the collaboration of our wide network of public and private partners.

County Supervisors sworn in and elect new Board Chair James Heinrich.
Tuesday, April 16, 2024 during the Waukesha County Board of Supervisors Organization Meeting, new County Board Supervisors took the oath of office and elected a County Board Chair, Vice-Chair, Second Vice-Chair and two additional members that will serve as committee chairs.
County Board Chair: James A. Heinrich
Heinrich has served on the County Board since 2007. He represents District 9 which includes portions of the City and Town of Brookfield. Heinrich served as chair of Land Use, Parks and Environment committee from 2012-14 and chair of Finance committee since 2014.

Waukesha County Department of Public Works will take over maintenance of Silvernail Rd. from the City of Waukesha to improve airport runway safety.
Friday, March 29th, 2024, Waukesha County Department of Public Works announced in a news release, they have taken over maintenance of Silvernail Road within the city between Grandview Blvd (CTH T) and Bluemound Road (CTH JJ) from the city to the county. The jurisdictional transfer change took place on February 26th, 2024, and will have no direct impact on surrounding properties.
