Guardianships of Minor
Guardianships and Protective Placements are handled in both the Juvenile and Probate Courts. Circumstances of the action will determine in which court your matter will be heard.
MINOR GUARDIANSHIP OF THE PERSON is handled by the Juvenile Court and MINOR GUARDIANSHIP OF THE ESTATE is handled by the Probate Court. Additionally, all ADULT GUARDIANSHIP and PROTECTIVE PLACEMENTS are handled by the Probate Court.
