Minor Guardianship of a Child: Full, Limited, or Temporary §48.9795
Petition to the Court to appoint an emergency guardian for a child.
SEPARATE PETITIONS MUST BE FILED IF YOU ARE SEEKING MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF GUARDIANSHIP.
ALL DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED TO THE COURT SHOULD BE SUBMITTED IN DUPLICATE. The Court will keep and file one set of copies. If you would like the Juvenile Clerk of Court's office to make additional copies for you, the cost will be $1.25 per page.

GUARDIAN AD LITEM: Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 48.9795(3)(a) the court shall appoint a guardian ad litem when a petition is filed for appointment of a guardian. In accordance to Wisconsin Statute 48.235(8)(b) the court may order either or both parties to pay all or any part of the compensation of the guardian ad litem.
ANNUAL REPORTS: For all full 9795, and some limited 9795 guardianships, an annual report on the condition of the child must be filed.
