Continuous Education
Learning never stops here at WCC. Throughout your career at WCC, you can expect a focus on continued education to keep up with changes to policy, procedures, protocols, and 9-1-1 technology and to build and/or reinforce already existing knowledge and skills. Our vision is to keep up with necessary changes, keep our skills sharp, and continue to be the best 9-1-1 center for Waukesha County.
WCC encourages and embraces offering or identifying effective training to help our team become their best. We can and will pay people to attend training on off days and will work, when possible, to make schedule adjustments for team members to attend training on regularly scheduled workdays.
In October of 2024, WCC was proud to host Jim Marshall of the 911 Training Institute for 3 days, where he presented his “Survive and Thrive” course, attended by WCC team members, as well as 9-1-1 professionals from nearby 9-1-1 centers.
Our callers deserve the best, our responders and agency partners deserve the best, and you, as a WCC team member deserve WCC investing in you to be your best self here.
