The Department of Health and Human Services has an agreement with IMPACT 2-1-1 to provide afterhours information, and referral telephone support. IMPACT 2-1-1 can be reached in two ways: By dialing 211 on the telephone or toll free at 1-866-211-3380 or via the Internet by clicking on:

In addition, the Department of Health and Human Services provides intake and non-clinical assessment services for a variety of human service programs. This service is to protect the health, safety, and well-being of people in our community and to provide support, counseling and other services to ameliorate the effects abuse and neglect.

As of November 1, 2013, IMPACT 2-1-1 is answering crisis and emergency calls formerly taken by 211 First Call for Help in Waukesha County. You can reach IMPACT 2-1-1 by dialing (414) 455-1736 or toll free at 1-866-211-3380.

Intake and Assessment Services include:

  • General Intake and Assessment

  • Child and Adult Abuse/Neglect Investigations

  • Custody Intake

  • Juvenile Court Intake and Custody Intake

  • Emergency After Hours Crisis Services

Fees are charged for some of these services. Where applicable, such fees are computed according to state ability to pay guidelines.
