- Through a series of appointments with a registered nurse, you will receive information on: Nutrition, discomforts of pregnancy, preterm labor, labor and delivery, taking care of your newborn, breastfeeding, emotional wellbeing, parenting and additional information as needed.
Pregnancy & Child Health Programs
Waukesha County offers free programs to help families with young children and pregnant women. Nurses visit homes to give health information and checkups for kids. They can also connect families to local services. Pregnant women get support and advice on nutrition, baby care, and breastfeeding. Child Health & Parenting Program
The Child Health and Parenting Program is here to help support and educate families with babies or young children. Through a series of home visits, your nurse will provide information on child health and development.

- Your nurse will provide your child with developmental and health screenings, height and weight measurements.
- FREE breastfeeding support to Waukesha County residents
- Our Nurses who are also Certified Lactation Counselors (CLC) can provide support, education and resources to lactating mothers or pregnant women

Waukesha County Breastfeeding Coalition
The coalition's mission is to encourage collaboration among breastfeeding advocates and agencies serving childbearing women and their families within the community to provide a unified message in protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding within Waukesha County.
