September is Juror Appreciation Month in Wisconsin, honoring the vital role jurors play in the justice system. Courthouses statewide express gratitude through events and messages, celebrating citizen involvement in democracy. This month highlights the importance of juror duties and encourages participation in the judicial process.
Beginning August 1, 2024, several circuit court case reassignments will occur. Criminal cases from Judge Laura F. Lau will move to Judge Ralph M. Ramirez, while Ramirez's family cases will transfer to Branch 12. Judge Paul Bugenhagen Jr.'s criminal cases will be reassigned to Judge Michael Aprahamian, with Aprahamian's civil cases moving to Bugenhagen. Additionally, Judge Brad Schimel’s juvenile cases will also shift to Bugenhagen.
Effective August 1, 2024, Judge Paul Bugenhagen Jr., Circuit Court Branch 10 will be assigned to the Juvenile Division.
Effective March 1, 2024, all PR, GN & AD case previously assigned to the Honorable Michael P. Maxwell, Circuit Court Branch 8 will be assigned to the Honorable Cody Horlacher, Circuit Court Branch 7.
Effective August 1, 2023, Judge Paul Bugenhagen Jr., Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge, Branch 10 has been appointed Chief Judge of the Third Judicial Administrative District.
