Camping Rules:

• Permit holder is required to be onsite with the party and is responsible for the maintaining satisfactory condition of the campsite at all times.
• Rules violations may result in permit cancellation without refund at any time.
• Permit holder may be assessed additional fees for clean-up and / or damage.
• Parks annual membership or daily permit is required for all vehicles upon entry to Park grounds.
• Campers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian.
• Quiet time: 10 pm - 7 am
• Limit: Seven consecutive nights.
• Check in time: 3 pm
• Check out time: 12 noon
• Any firewood must be purchased at the park; absolutely no carry-ins.
• Parking on pavement, gravel, or designated areas.
• Prohibited: unlicensed motor vehicles (eg. golf carts, UTVs, ATVs).
• No more than three dogs per handler.
• Required: Dogs must be leashed (6-ft. max)*. Electronic leashes or collars are not considered a leash.
• Handlers shall maintain control of dog(s) at all times.
• Handlers are responsible for removal and disposal of their dog's waste in a sanitary manner.
• No horses allowed in campgrounds.
• Campers must follow all Park Rules 

Camping Cancellation Policy:

• Canceled fewer than 14 days in advance: no refund
• Cancelled 14 or more days in advance: full refund
• Official closures: No refunds for unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions, unless the facilities officially close.
• Campsite permits are nontransferable.

Archery Range Rules

• Observe all safe bow handling rules
• Use only installed Targets, no 3D Field Targets are allowed
• Use target arrows only; no broad heads are allowed
• No guns are allowed, including air rifles or BB guns
• Absolutely no horseplay on the Target Range
• Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the Target Range. Shooters shall not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Respect other Target Range users:
• If a person or animal enters any visible area of the range, all shooting must stop immediately until area is clear
• Do not nock arrow while somebody is down range
• Do not cock crossbows while somebody is down range
• Bows are only to be drawn at the shooting range line and in the direction of the targets
• Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
• Archers disobeying any of these rules or acting unsafe in any way will be asked to leave premises
• Waukesha County is not responsible for damage to or loss of personal equipment used at the range

Dog Exercise Area Rules:

• No attendant on duty
• No more than three dogs per handler
• Dogs are required to have a current dog license; handlers are required to show a current dog license upon request
• Waukesha County will not be responsible for any injury suffered by or caused by any dog
• Handlers are responsible for removal and disposal of their dog's waste in a sanitary manner
• No puppies younger than 4 months of age
• Dogs in heat are not allowed
• Dogs must remain leashed until inside the double-gated entrance - ensure the gate is closed securely upon entry
• Food / treats (human or pet), dog chews, and rawhides are not allowed
• Handlers shall have voice control of their dog(s) at all times
• Any dog exhibiting aggressive behavior must be removed immediately
• Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult and within arm's reach at all times
• Do not run or chase dogs, and never attempt to pet other dogs unless permission is granted by that dog's handler

Swimming Beach Rules

• Swimming allowed sunrise - sunset
• Swimming allowed only in designated roped-in shallow area
• The following is prohibited in the beach area (ie. within 40 feet of sand and beach house)
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol
  • Glass
  • Grilling
  • Fishing Poles/Tackle
  • Launching of Watercraft

Dog swimming only in designated separate dog swimming areas at
• Fox Brook
• Menomonee

Dog swimming allowed at regular sand beach area at
• Minooka 
• Mukwonago
• Muskego
• Naga-Waukee

• Water quality: Tested weekly.
  View water quality status online and at the beaches via signage near the "throw ring" (example).
• Note: After heavy rainfall, bacteria levels may be elevated.
