Note: If you require a certified copy of a land record document you must come into our office or submit a request through the mail with correct payment.
We are unable to provide certified copies through our Public Access Document Search application. If you have any questions, please contact our office.

If you need to find your legal description before you search our Public Access site, you can find it using the Waukesha County Tax Listing Website.

Our database has documents fully indexed that were recorded on or before January 1, 1994, and has images of all documents that haven't been indexed going back to the early 1800s. To find documents that haven't been indexed, you can use the Search Tools below.

Deed Volumes 1-142 and Mortgage Volumes 1-108 are now available to view and purchase on the Public Access site. However, when searching the Book/Page combinations you must use "zero" placeholders to make the entries four digits.
For example:
Volume 1 Page 1 is searchable as Book 0001 Page 0001
Volume 123 Page 123 is searchable as Book 0123 Page 0123

Helpful Hint: When searching through our index books, if you find that a page is seemingly "missing", it is most likely not. Pages that had no postings on them were omitted. Also, if you see "Forwarded to", the pages that the postings were forwarded to are usually on the following page.
