The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office bail window is open for all after hour bail postings. It is located at Door #8 within the Law Enforcement Center lobby. The Department accepts cash, certified funds, cashier's checks, Visa, Discover and MasterCard.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office if responsible for the service of legal papers pursuant to Wisconsin State Statue. A Sheriff’s Deputy is assigned to the Process Division to serve all different types of papers, including but not limited to: subpoenas, restraining orders, summons and complaints and others. Papers for service will be accepted at the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. ONLY papers for service within Waukesha County will be accepted.

If you wish to arrange an escort, you must contact the Patrol Division between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday at 262-548-7124 a minimum of twenty-four hours prior to the escort. 

It is the citizen's responsibility to obtain all permits, permissions and approved routes from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, local authorities and utilities. Permits should be secured prior to making arrangements for the escort.

The escorts are done by uniformed deputy sheriffs on overtime and billed to the requester, so as not to deplete the normal patrol divisions.

Property and Vehicle Releases are by appointment only.
