About the County Board:
The Waukesha County Board of Supervisors is the legislative branch of Waukesha County government. It consists of 25 members, each representing a distinct geographic district with roughly 15,500 residents. Board members are elected to two-year terms in even-numbered years.
The board elects a chairperson, first vice-chairperson, and second vice-chairperson from among its members to serve as officers.
The County Board sets policy for Waukesha County by adopting ordinances and resolutions. It is authorized under Wisconsin Statutes (Chapter 59) to exercise a broad range of powers for various local government functions.
