Biography
Terry Thieme proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. His military career included both domestic and international assignments, during which he received several meritorious promotions. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
Following his military service, Terry dedicated himself to public service by joining law enforcement. He served in various capacities in several communities, including the Town of Beloit, City of Jefferson, and the City of Waukesha. During his 19-year tenure with the Waukesha Police Department, he held diverse roles, including Field Training Officer, Bicycle Officer, School Resource Officer, and member of the Tactical Team.
Terry pursued his education concurrently with his career, earning an Associate Degree in Police Science from Waukesha County Technical College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Senario College. After retiring from law enforcement in 2007, he served on the Waukesha Common Council, representing Aldermanic District 1, until 2019.
Currently, Terry serves as a Coordinator in Credit Card Operations at Kohl's, Inc. in Menomonee Falls, where he continues to apply his dedication and leadership skills. He also serves on the board of the Kohl's Veterans and Military Business Resource Group, advocating for the needs of veterans and military personnel within the company.
Terry and his wife, Karen, are proud parents of three children and enjoy spending time with their five grandchildren.
