Biography

Richard Morris earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Agriculture Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. After eight years as a vocational agriculture teacher, he transitioned into a successful career in dairy and cash crop farming. Now retired from farming, he continues to contribute his expertise part-time to Proven Power, Inc., a leading supplier of lawn and agricultural equipment in Waukesha and Oconomowoc.

A dedicated public servant, Richard has served on the Town of Merton Plan Commission for nearly five decades. He previously served as Town of Merton Chairman for 14 years and currently holds the position of Town Supervisor. His commitment to the community extends beyond local government, as he is an active member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, an adjunct member of the American Legion Post #289, and a vocal advocate for sustainable agricultural practices through his involvement with Farmers for Lake Country. He also serves on the Wisconsin River Rail Transit Commission (WRRTC), demonstrating his commitment to regional development.

Richard and his wife, Lois, have been married since 1965 and are blessed with a daughter, son-in-law, and a grandson. When not engaged in community service, Richard enjoys the tranquility of their condominium on Little Muskego Lake, spending quality time with family. His hobbies include travel, snowmobiling, and the intricate world of model railroading.
