Biography

Jim Batzko brings a strong foundation in law enforcement and public service to his role as County Board Supervisor. His commitment to service began early with six years of service in the U.S. Army Reserves, serving in the 84th Division from 1984 to 1990. He earned Bachelor's Degrees in History from UW-Whitewater and Criminal Justice from Concordia University.

Following his academic pursuits, Jim embarked on a distinguished 24-year career in law enforcement. He served two years with the Milwaukee Police Department and subsequently dedicated 22 years to the City of Delafield Police Department.

Jim's dedication to public service extends beyond his law enforcement career. He served on the Sussex Village Board prior to his election to the County Board in 2012.

Outside of his professional and public service endeavors, Jim is an avid sports fan, cheering on the Brewers, Badgers, and Packers. A special highlight of his year is Independence Day, which coincides with his birthday. He enjoys celebrating with his wife, Sue, and their three sons, often attending parades and enjoying fireworks displays.
