The Board is dedicated to providing the highest quality, most effective, demand-driven workforce development services possible to the residents and businesses of Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington Counties, Wisconsin.
The Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington (WOW) Workforce Development Board, known locally as WOW Works, is one of Wisconsin’s eleven regional Boards to address local economic workforce issues. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) empowers the boards to help job seekers access employment, education and training, and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.
WOW Works collaborates with local elected officials, economic development corporations, businesses, and the community to address macroeconomic workforce issues in the 3-county area. It is committed to finding workforce solutions through long-term planning and timely responses to the changing economy. The Board selected Waukesha County to be the fiscal and administrative agent.
The Board will be recognized as the catalyst for innovative workforce strategies and solutions, providing leadership and vision to advance the economic well-being of the region for employers, employees and job seekers.
