Courtroom Changes and Judicial Rotation


A judicial rotation will occur August 5, 2019. The changes are as follows:

Circuit Court Judge Current Division New Division Courtroom
 Michael P. Maxwell  Criminal/Traffic  Family  C370
 Paul Bugenhagen Jr.  Family  Criminal/Traffic  C350

Additional courtroom changes will also occur August 5, 2019. The changes are as follows:

Circuit Court Judge Division Old Courtroom New Courtroom
 Maria S. Lazar  Criminal/Traffic   C162  C360
 Brad D. Schimel  Criminal/Traffic  C121  C162


Other Changes Effective on August 5th:

  • Judge Lazar will become the Presiding Judge in Criminal/Traffic.
  • Judge Aprahamian will become the Presiding Judge in Family.
  • Judge Carter will hear final ME cases in the Juvenile Center.
  • Judge Maxwell will take over all Probate and Guardianship matters from Judge Bugenhagen.

When sending mail to those judges who are rotating in August, please note on the front of the envelope, the division for which the mail is intended.

Please take special note that the current phone numbers for the Deputy Clerks and Legal Clerks for the above judiciary will remain the same, despite the fact that they are rotating to a new Circuit Court Division or Courtroom.

Additionally, please note that due to courthouse construction the assigned courtroom may be subject to a last minute change.  The day of the hearing you can refer to your case on WCCA, the CCAP Kiosk, or the daily room changes posted at the courthouse.  We apologize for any inconvenience.
