Fluorescent Tubes and Bulbs contain mercury ad cannot be placed in your trash or recycling bin.  Here are a few options:

The City of Waukesha takes used oil and antifreeze from any Waukesha County resident (fees may apply). Go to the City of Waukesha webpage for more information or call 262-524-3600.

Some municipalities will accept used antifreeze and oil from their residents only.  Call your local DPW office to see if this is an option for you.

Return clean, dry plastic bags to participating grocery or retail stores. Call ahead to confirm!

This also includes bags for dry-cleaning, bread, produce, newspapers, and more.  Many retailers have a list of what they accept at the drop off area.

Latex Paint - dry out the paint and throw it away.  To speed up the drying process, use a paint hardener or try adding some cat litter to the paint.
